West Maui

Kaanapali

Kaanapali, located on the western most point on Maui, is one of Hawaii’s most popular beach resorts, with many shops and restaurants. In addition to six hotels and five condominium complexes, Kaanapali is also home to two championship golf courses. The Kaanapali beach is a white sand beach, stretching for three miles. It’s a great location for snorkeling.

Lahaina

A National Historic Landmark, Lahaina is protected as a Maui County Historic District. The town of Lahaina is situated on the west coast of Maui, stretching for two miles along a natural harbor. Lahaina is most notably a tourist mecca, filled with restaurants, art galleries and shops. Maui’s oldest building, occupied by missionaries in 1833, is now the location for the Lahaina Restoration Foundation. This organization works to refurbish and restore interesting old buildings and Lahaina landmarks.
